Ihilani Spa is one of only two places in the United States to offer authentic thalasso therapy—underwater massage from rotating and pulsating jet streams utilizing warm seawater. The resort location, along one of Hawaii’s most spectacular reefs, ensures an excellent supply of the essential ingredients necessary for this treatment. In addition, guests can indulge in other hydrotherapies such as Grand Jets, Vichy showers, and Roman pools.

Traditional massage therapies such as Swedish and therapeutic massage are available, as well as Hawaiian Lomi Lomi—a technique passed down by Hawaiian kupuna (elders) using kneading strokes and body manipulations. Pampering body treatments such as Island Floral Herbal Wrap, Ihilani Cool Ti Leaf Wrap, or Hawaiian Sea Salt Glo rejuvenate and revive guests.

Swedish
This gentle relaxation massage uses long strokes and kneading techniques that are light in touch to improve circulation and relieve tension throughout the body. (50 minutes)

Raindrop Technique
Originating from the research of D. Gary Young and a Lakota medicine man in the 1970's, Raindrop technique is based on the theory that many types of spinal misalign-ments are caused by viruses or bacteria that lie dormant along the spine. Using a sequence of essential oils that are dispensed like drops of rain along the spine, balance and harmony are restored within the body. (50 minutes)

Lomilomi
This therapeutic technique has been passed down through the ages by Hawaiian elders or "kupuna." Using both gentle and vigorous kneading strokes and body manipulations, Lomilomi eases muscle pain and increases circulation, promoting relaxation and a sense of well-being. (50 minutes)

Shiatsu
A therapeutic massage based on ancient Oriental techniques using pressure along the energy pathways of the body to restore balance and relieve tension and stress.(50 minutes)

La Stone Hot Rock Massage
An incredible massage experience incorporating the principles of thermotherapy to promote healing within the body. Using heated basalt stones and alternating with extremely cold, marble stones, new dimensions of relaxation, health, well being and balance are achieved by increasing circulation and releasing tension and congestion in the body. Therapeutic Massage
This massage is unique in that it is custom designed to fit the needs of the individual. Your therapist will assess problem areas and incorporate a variety of styles to achieve the best possible results. Can either be full body or more specific……the choice is yours. (50 minutes)

Maternity Massage
Designed to give relief to the specific needs of the mother-to-be. This massage promotes relaxation, benefits circulation, and provides comfort during this exciting time of change. (50 minutes)

Specialty Thalasso with Color Light Therapy
A combination of seawater massage and the ancient science of Color Therapy. Air and water jets provide a stimulating full-body massage while pure colored light enhances and realigns the spirit. For each treatment, fresh Hawaiian seawater is pumped directly into the spa for a truly healing experience! (25 min)

Deluxe Thalasso Therapy with Color and Aqua Essences

Hawaiian Sea Salt Glo
A tropical scrub that awakens the whole body! Sea salts, rich in trace elements and minerals, work to deeply cleanse, exfoliate and stimulate the skin. (25 min)

Hydro Massage for Men
A salt scrub and water massage to stimulate the male spirit. An invigorating skin exfoliation using mineral rich sea salts is followed by a warm water massage of the back, neck and shoulders. A very popular man's invigorating treat. (25 min)

Deluxe Botanical Body Polish
The ultimate treatment for dull and tired skin! Revitalize to a healthful glow with a sea salt exfoliation blended with our signature Jasmine Body Scrub. A Pineapple Body Wash cleanses deeply to remove impurities, while our warm Vichy Shower rhythmically flows over the body. The finishing touch is our White Orchid Body Lotion. (50 min)

Ihilani Cool Ti Leaf Wrap
This unique wrap uses Hawaiian Ti Leaf, known for its healing qualities to soothe and rehydrate skin that has been overexposed to the elements. Particularly healing for sunburn or for people with sensitive or irritated skin. (25 min)

Floral Herbal Wrap
A warm cocoon wrap of linen sheets infused with Chamomile, Lavender, and Frankincense rids the body of toxins and impurities. (25 min)

Green Tea Detoxifying Wrap
Green Tea mud, known for its anti-oxidant properties provides the body with powerful detoxifying effects. Special attention is given to cellulite prone areas to mobilize trapped toxins with a Green Tea body spritz. A contouring lotion is gently applied to tone and replenish the body. (50 min)

Seaweed Body Mask
